Fiery Mandarin 2.0

Fiery Mandarin 2.0 Recipe

  • 2 oz | Hangar One Vodka (Orange Zest Infused*)

  • 1 oz | Cranberry Juice

  • 1/2 oz | Lemon Juice

  • 1/2** oz | Pink House Alchemy Mexican Chile Syrup

Instructions: Add all ingredients into shaker tin. Fill tin with ice and shake until sufficiently chilled. Double strain into cocktail coupe. Garnish if that’s your thing.

*Note: There is a tiny bit of work to be done on the front end by infusing the vodka with orange peels. We haven’t tried using orange vodka - as most flavored vodkas are trash (see Always Parched Episode 8). With that said, Hangar One Mandarin Blossom Vodka would probably be a good place to start. Anyways… put a bunch of orange peels (avoiding the pith) into some vodka and let sit for a certain amount of time and you’ve got yourself some first rate orange vodka for a Fiery Mandarin.

**Note: Add 1/2 - 3/4 ounce Chile Syrup depending on preference. More syrup means both added sweetness and spice - so find your desired ratio. We rarely add a lot of sugar to our drinks so adding half an ounce of the Mexican Chile Syrup seems right since we often find eudaemonia in the 1:1 ratio of one part base-spirit (the vodka) to modifier (everything else).
